Castor oil as lubricant?

I'm trying to masturbate for the first time (please be mature about this) and am hoping that castor oil is a safe lubricant for around and in the l area. Also, any tips on where and how to touch would be great, or anything to expect. I've tried this before once or twice but without many results- I never really even started anything. I promised a friend I'd try again. I'm really trying to make this successful as I'm hoping to remain virginal until I'm at least 24. Any help would be great.
