Why are people still insisting?

I am still getting emails that claim that Roosevelt's spending prolonged the depression. (an idiocy if there ever was one) In the first place, Hoover gave 2 billion (just as Bush gave 350 billion) to the banks "To stimulate the economy". It is true that Roosevelt spent 3 Billion more; but his was geared to Jobs Creation, not to Wall Street. It WAS the creation of the WPA that started the recovery, WWll on finalized aa process that was well under way. The greatest horror is not that demagogues lie to us, the greater horror is that the gullible swallow, then parrot the lies.
