Need a good biscuit, breadstick, or roll recipe...?

I'm planning a picnic for two and so far I'm making pecan crusted chicken fingers, and doing a cheese/fruit/nut tray. I'd like to also make some type of starch - bread, biscuits, etc. - but I'm looking for something that is already sort of sweet and savory that won't need er, jam, dipping oil, dressing, or anything else that could be messy or a pain. I was thinking along the lines of Red Lobster's cheddar biscuits perhaps, as they don't require any toppings, but I want to stay away from something garlic flavored. Any ideas?? Thanks!!
