Is beef jerky (or any jerky) halal?

Halal means the meat of permitted animals which is slaughtered as per instruction in Holy Qur-an and Hadith. Ie slaughtered in the name of Allah ( Qur-an) with a very sharp weapon very quickly with out hurting it much. ( Hadith)
