How can i fix my xbox 360 mic?

My ear piece and tallky thingy are in one piece but it is seperated from the piece that wraps around your head. ive taped it together several times but it doesnt stay together for more than 3 hours. it gets very wobbly after a while and then falls out. Dont recomend buying a new mic, just tell me how i can fix my current one. it still works fine, just annoyed with it wobbling and falling all th time
