New Distortion/Over Drive Pedal!!!?

I just got my first pedal tonight. its a Boss Overdrive/Distortion pedal OS-2. Its hooked up to my Line 6 Spider. I was wondering what are some special settings i can use it for? anyone know how to set it correctly to sound good?
