I had a hysterectomy years ago leaving the ovaries will i have menopause i am 53?

The real answer is maybe. About 40% of women who have had the uterus, but not ovaries removed will go through menopause within 6 months. It's thought that there is some sort of "feedback loop" between them. I had a hysterectomy in 2003, ovaries intact, and am just starting menopause (I'm 49).
